The ThunderMax Factory Oil Cooler Fan for 2017-Up oil cooled Touring®* models is recommended on 114 & Larger M8 engines and essential for M8 Big Bore kits to work in conjunction with an UltraCool Oil Cooler and FLO Oil Filter. This amazing combination provides enough cooling to prevent even the largest and hottest M8 engines from overheating in summer traffic and high RPM. The fan only takes 15 minutes to install and is plug-n-play. If your motorcycle is equipped with a ThunderMax ECM, just plug the fan in and you are ready to go. If your motorcycle has a stock ECM you will need to visit your local dealer to have the bike flashed to “fan on”
The oil cooler fan works by using engine temp and vehicle speed to reduce heat in the oil going directly from the factory oil cooler and into the cylinderheads.
